The “Languages for Business” curriculum ensures the acquisition of the four essential language skills in three foreign languages, in addition to providing a foundational education in general linguistics, Italian literature, and computer science. It aims to prepare professionals who can successfully enter work environments that require foreign language proficiency and knowledge of the related cultural contexts. This training is further enhanced by basic knowledge in the fields of law, economics and sociology, which is essential for managing interlinguistic and intercultural relations. An optional sub-track available in the second year includes the study of the literature of two foreign languages, designed to facilitate access to the master’s degree and the continuation of studies.
The methodological “Linguistic-Philological-Literary” curriculum, in addition to a foundational education in general linguistics, Italian literature, and the philologies of the chosen languages, has the specific educational objective of acquiring the four essential language skills in two foreign languages. It also focuses on an in-depth knowledge of the corresponding literatures, as well as the theoretical and methodological tools necessary for pursuing critical inquiries in the various fields of philological, literary, and linguistic studies. The training provided by this curriculum, based on the knowledge of multiple languages and foreign cultures, allows graduates to work as translators and intercultural communicators in both public and private cultural institutions.
